Professor Dong-Keun Ki received PhD in experimental condensed matter physics from POSTECH in 2010, he worked as a Senior Research Associate in the University of Geneva, and he has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in The University of Hong Kong (HKU) since 2018.
Professor Ki’s research interest lies on discovering and understanding new quantum transport phenomena in low-dimensional mesoscopic systems. Materials of interest span widely from 1D nanowire to 3D bulk that include 2D materials, topologically non-trivial materials, and artificially designed heterostructures. During recent years, Prof. Ki’s group is focusing on 2D materials and their van der Waals heterostructures.
