Conference and Workshop

Studying Nertrino Oscillation by using Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant as the Neutrino Source

Date November 28-29, 2003
Venue Room 311, Chong Yuet Ming Physics Building, Department of Physics, The University of Hong Kong
Website http://www.physics.hku.hk/~astro/neutrino/index.html

There are strong evidences that neutrino oscillations have been observed in experiments studying solar neutrino, atmospheric neutrino, and reactor anti-neutrino. The next generation of reactor-based neutrino experiments could improve the precision of some of the neutrino mixing parameters, and demonstrate an unambiguous oscillation pattern. The goal of this workshop is to explore the possibility of using anti-neutrinos from the Daya Bay nuclear power plants to perform such a study of neutrino oscillation in southern China.
