Abstract

The talk will address the main research activities currently on going in the Campus of University Rome Tor Vergata and Frascati National Laboratory in the area of experimental nuclear physics, neutron irradiation of electronic devices, neutron imaging of engineering components and ancient artifacts, spirit of international collaboration. Most of these activities are made possible by an international agreement, since 1985, between the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and the Science Technology Facility Council (STFC) for ISIS Neutron Source and see the participation of multidisciplinary research teams from the Centre NAST (Nanoscience, Nanotechnology and Instrumentation) in Tor Vergata University, the Physics Department of University of Milano Bicocca, the and Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) and the ISIS pulsed neutron source (UK). The talk will summarize the spirit of the international collaboration and the main results in these areas over the years.

Coffee and tea will be served 20 minutes prior to the seminar.
