Abstract

High-order harmonic spectroscopy (HHS) has been a powerful technology for precise observation of electron movement and quantum coherence in real-time in past years. While most of the prior research has predominantly concentrated on elucidating the dynamics of electrons within materials, recent advancements have revealed that HHS can be effectively employed to investigate the dynamics of lattice vibrations, or phonons. These vibrational modes are integral to the understanding of a broad spectrum of material properties and emergent phenomena, particularly superconductivity. Through the precise probing of these lattice vibrations, researchers can attain a more comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms driving superconductivity, such as electron-phonon coupling, which plays a pivotal role in the formation of Cooper pairs and the consequent emergence of zero-resistance states in specific materials.
