Abstract
I will present the scientific investigations for the charge-exchanging contribution in the star-forming galaxy of M82 as an example based on the XMM-Newton RGS observations and the CX model from AtomDB (ACX). I will overview the key science and methods in this field based on the on-going spectroscopic studies with our collaborators as well as from the point of view of possible future missions we have proposed in China.
