Abstract
Two-dimensional material is an emerging field that attracts lot of attention in recent years. Materials including graphene, transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have been well studied. Yet there are many other 2D materials that have not been explored in detail. Many of those are predicted to have attractive properties, yet experimental realization or characterizations of them are lacking. Taking phosphorus as an example, single layer phosphorene and blue phosphorene are still far from well-understood. We would like to study several new 2D materials by MBE growth and STM characterization.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
