Abstract
Atomically thin group-VI transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) emerge a family of intrinsic 2-dimentional (2D) semiconductors including MoS2, MoSe2, WS2 and WSe2. They are treated as a promising candidate for ultimate electronics and optoelectronics devices and attract intensive research interest, as their sizeable bandgap in the visible and near infrared range.
In this seminar, I will take a review on the recent research progress of the optical study on electronic structures, vibrational properties and some other aspects in this class of atomic 2D semiconductors.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
