Abstract
Quantum key distribution (QKD) can guarantee the unconditional security of communication between two parties, Alice and Bob, based on quantum mechanics. Since the first quantum key distribution BB84 was proposed, much interest had been centered on the security proof of quantum key distribution, either ideal or practical.
In this seminar, first we are going to introduce a particular type of QKD using qudits, which has a high error resiliency and shows the potential of using a high dimensional quantum state to encode a low dimensional quantum signal. Moreover, when it comes to experimental implementation of quantum key distribution, lots of problems about signal source (such as the insecurity of multi-photon signal) and detector (such as detector side channels) arise. In order to solve these problems, decoy state method is introduced to detect eavesdropping attack due to multi-photon signal and measurement-device-independent technique is proposed to resolve the detector side channels attack.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
