Abstract

Thanks to sensitive telescopes, more than a dozen of bow-shock pulsar wind nebulae (PWNe) have been identified in the past decade. Radio polarimetric measurements of a few sources show very diverse magnetic field configurations, but the reason for such discrepancy is not well understood. For further investigation, detailed theoretical modelling as well as increasing the sample size of bow-shock systems are needed. In this talk, I will review the evolution model of PWNe, and report on radio observations of an elongated PWN system G327.1-1.1. Connections to other PWN systems will also be discussed.
