Abstract
I will review our works on quantum phase transition of cold atoms in optical lattice and gauge field. We investigate a two-component atomic Fermi gas with population imbalance in the presence of Rashba-type spin-orbit coupling induced by gauge field. The quantum phase transition and the strongly correlated effect of cold atoms in triangular optical lattice, and the interacting Dirac fermions on honeycomb lattice, are investigated by using cluster dynamical mean-field theory and continuous time quantum Monte Carlo method. We also study the quantum spin Hall effect in the kagome optical lattice.
