Abstract

Metal halide perovskites have received intensive attention as a promising candidate for the next-generation light-emitting diodes due to their superior optoelectronic properties, such as tunable exciton binding energy, high carrier mobility, high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and narrow spectral width. However the poor stability is the crucial obstacle for their technological development. In contrast, the 2D/quasi-2D perovskites exhibit high resistance for moisture, light and heating stress and chemical diversity since there are a number of possible and largely unexplored perovskites with different spacer cations. Herein, with the adaption of useful strategies, novel low dimensional perovskite materials with enhanced light emitting performance and structural stability are expected.
